What we offer
Our library brings together more than 2,000 hand-picked HTML5 games across every genre — action, puzzle, racing, sports, strategy, .io battles and more. Every game is added through verified distribution feeds, so links always work and you never hit a broken embed.
Each game gets its own page with a plain-English description, controls, a few tips and a hand-picked list of similar titles — so you always know what you are about to play before the game loads.
Why we built it
Browser gaming is the most accessible form of entertainment there is — it works on almost any device and requires nothing to install. We wanted a site that takes that idea seriously: fast, clean, and honest. No misleading buttons, no broken embeds, and no pages stuffed with ads before you even reach the game.
Most free-games sites make you fight the page before you reach the game: fake download buttons, pop-ups that hijack the back button, a wall of ads where the play button should be. We decided that whatever else changed, one rule would not — the play button is the biggest thing on the page, and it does exactly what it says.
How we choose games
New titles arrive through our distribution partners every week, but they do not go live automatically. Before a game is published we check that:
- it loads and is playable in a normal desktop and mobile browser;
- it works without a plugin, download or account;
- it is suitable for a general audience — no gambling with real money, no adult content;
- it belongs in a genre we can describe honestly, so the category page stays accurate.
Games that stop working get fixed or removed. If you find one that is broken, telling us is genuinely the fastest way to get it sorted.
How the site pays for itself
Game Rig is free to use and funded by advertising. We keep ad placements outside the game frame, never covering the play button or interrupting a session, and we ask for consent before non-essential cookies are set where the law requires it. Our full Privacy Policy explains exactly what is collected and by whom.
Who is behind it
Game Rig is run by a small independent team that has spent years building and maintaining web projects. We are players first: every genre shelf on the site exists because somebody here wanted an easier way to find that kind of game.
